Europe 2023/Visual Diary

Last year's European escapade was an unforgettable mix of family, friends, and solo adventures, sprawling from the sun-drenched beaches of Greece to Italy's culinary corners. It all started in Rhodes, where family time was highlighted by my nephew's christening, lazy beach days, and strolls through the enchanting old town. The serenity of Panagia Tsambika monastery was a peaceful contrast to the lively streets.

Bologna turned into an impromptu sibling trip when my brother, lured by the promise of endless pasta, joined me. We indulged in a food tour that was nothing short of epic and got lost at the Lamborghini and Ferrari museums. Florence, bustling beyond belief, offered respite in a Tuscan cooking class and an inspiring visit to the Gucci museum.

Rome caught me by surprise, quickly becoming a city I fell in love with. The highlight? Zipping through its historic streets on a Vespa tour with my friend Myke, plus quality time with my friend Krystal and her family. Every corner of Rome felt like discovering a new secret.

Puglia was where I left a piece of my heart. The warmth of the people, the divine food, and the rich culture were life-changing. Staying with my friend Vito and his family, I delved into the art of cheese making and was enchanted by the beauty of a beautiful masseria. Lecce's unexpected allure and stunning beaches were the icing on the cake.

Sicily, and particularly Scopello, was a revelation with its incredible locals and breathtaking landscapes. It's a place I'm already dreaming of returning to.

From the family bonds in Rhodes to the culinary discoveries in Bologna, Florence, Rome, Puglia, and Sicily, this journey was more than just a trip—it was an immersion into diverse cultures, cuisines, and personal reflections. And now, inspired by the magic of Puglia, I'm excited to hint at an upcoming retreat I'll be unveiling at the end of February. Designed for food lovers, it's a chance to dive deep into the flavours and stories that have touched my heart. Stay tuned for more details, and let this gallery of images inspire you to explore, taste, and love the vibrant tapestry of Europe.
